Dear Everyone.

17 years ago today, it was boxing day 1993. That is Nineteen Ninety Three.

Today, it is boxing day 2010. That is Twenty Ten.

Please refrain from calling it “Two Thousand And Ten” as that is a waste of syllables and highly annoying. Also, in a few days time, it will be Twenty Eleven, not Two Thousand And Eleven.

I say this, because 17 years ago, we didn’t say it was One Thousand Nine Hundred and Ninety Three. Ages, ago, say 1066, it was Ten Sixty Six.

So, lets start now, being sensible and pronouncing the year the old fashioned correct way.
