New York Trip Report

Oct 23rd

Epilogue

I’d like to thank everyone involved in this vacation for making how amazing it was, my friends, my family, Brooklyn Brewery for making that evening so memorable, New York Craft Beer Week, for yet another amazing beer week (roll on next year).

I don’t know when I’ll return to NYC. It might be September next year, it might be earlier, but I’ve got no plans to return, and this is the difference now. I normally always head home and start planning. I’ve nearly got enough Delta Miles for a cheap (taxes only), flight. However, I’ve got other things I want to sort out in my life first. I can’t go into details, but if things do work out, I’m going to have great fun.

I’ve started visiting tourist attractions in the UK now. When passing them thanks to work, or specifically going to them locally, and I’ll start a few blog posts on those too. I’ve finally realised that travelling is not just about saving loads of money and having an amazing holiday, but it’s about seeing things that are not what you do in a normal week.

Until Next Time New York.

Hi Mark – I was just wondering, how many hours before your flight do you usually get to the airport? Do you think 2 hours would be cutting it fine?

      Hi Lisa.

When I’m heading home, I get to JFK around 2.5 hours before. I’ve done 2 hours, and it isn’t really cutting it fine, it works quite well, but I like a few pints before I get on the plane.

in the UK heading out to NYC, I’m always there 4 hours before, because I want to start my holiday, and also, it means my seat doesn’t get shifted and I may get emergency exit rows…
